    Talking My new Ninja...

After much anticipation, my new (black) 250R Ninja arrived on Wednesday. I've never ridden except for the harrowing day spent doing the basic handling skills course, but took it out Thursday regardless for a little ride around some quiet streets. Apart from a couple of a55holes who pulled out in front of me (to flick the bird or not to flick the bird....hmmm?) all went well. Its a beautiful bike, and even though I'm a 5'4 shorty I can touch the ground ok, at 150 kgs dry its not too heavy, a little awkward to move around, but thats because of being nervous of dropping the wee darling more than anything else. There was a hell of a wait for the bike, the poor guys at Motorad putting up with my incessant phone calls, but now that she's here I'm pleased I didn't cave and buy something else.

Ahh that thrill of pleasure and excitement when a new bike touches base on the landing pad!

Take your time to get to know each other, ride safely and practise your basics! And ayup, affirm with the others about piccies being needed!

Welcome to the madhouse, and congrats on your purchase. I kinda wish that they were around when I did my learners. Ride as much as you can, practice all the skills, and who knows - before you know it you will be looking at a big brother ninja
