I'm pleased you found time to sit on a Honda. Yeah OK the Kwak MotoGP effort isn't worth sitting on. McCoy seems to be running out of patience going by quotes from him on other websites. Like very nice Japanese man saying "wait until next year" and as if Soirchiro Honda trained his men to wait until next year. If Honda need it they do it now - like to stay ahead of Ducati. So Kawasaki will always be behind if that is their approach. Going by the performance of the Suzuki GSVR there is nothing to be gained by the alliance Kwak has with them either.

does make you wonder doesn't it! aparrently the green team has been told 'do whatever it takes to win' and sounds like they have a matching ferrari f1 style budget.

So what are they doing so damn wrong?

Perhaps if you haven't heard of RCV or Rossi we should just say he is the second string rider in Doug Green's team.

p.s. I still liked that quote I saw on another website where they referred to the Kawasakis and Suzukis as moving chicanes for the Hondas and Ducatis. The Suz/Kwak alliance boys better pull finger if they want to stop the embarrassment.

The Suz/Kwak alliance have the problem of developing everything at once - frame, engine, suspension AND tyres. Man, that's a big ask any time.

Ducati have done very well but the advantage of having a 'pre-developed' tyre.

Still hoped for better from Kawasaki

They now have WCM to beat, but I see in the latest race McCoy DNFd.

At the moment the lap times the Suz and Kawi are turning at some tracks that are common to WSB, their boys would be better off on customer old model Ducati 998s like Chili is for example.

Compared to the old days something has gome screwy with the other Japanese makes. Back in the 60s if Honda brought out the latest and greatest, the others would have a go and match them same season. How else did Hugh Anderson and others ever beat the Hondas?

Now they seem to be stuck in some sort of mire - only Ducati is having a damn good go and Honda is seemingly enjoying and responding to the challenge. See this story http://www.amasuperbike.com/2003-Sep/030908a.htm

Honda and Ducati are obviously innovative and their heritage is based on competition. Are the others stuck in the corporate paralysis mode much as was experienced within the pommy companies in the 50s and 60s?

I must say I am disappointed how the Proton is performing too because I thought if they copied the Honda engine layout they might be half way there, but then I guess its the whole package that matters.
    Cheers
