Talking I GOT TRACK DAY COVER !!!

Yeah I shit you not, I rung Classic Cover insurance and told them all about track days, they asked "is it a timed event" ,I said "no", they asked "is it a race", I said "no but it is on a race track,it gives bikers a chance to go fast without the fear of loosing your licence" she said "you will be covered then, but I will check with the manager", she did and said "yes that is covered", I asked "can I have that in writing as part of my policey schedule" she said "yes I will post it out tonight".

Not only all of that but I was paying $1176 with AMI (no track day cover) and classic cover was $655.00 for $14000.00 cover
    I am stoked.
Wont make me ride any quicker though lol

    Here is the web link....

    http://www.classiccover.co.nz

I too am with them after ringing about five different places for quotes however I am sure you need to be over 30 to get them to insure you, they were the cheapest for me by over $300.00 on 9K cover.

man I am gonna join up, as my company (STAR) has just sent me the bill for next years insurance with a new 10% surcharge on top(even though my bike is worth less now & i have incurred no tickets & made no claims at all). good timing. i wonder if it counts for puke testing days also? HOLD ON aren't NZI owned by state?
    ..it's another red light nightmare..

I just called them for a quote. I have a feeling their phones are going to be running hot...
They had to check with the manager again, but the wording was- as long as it is not a timed event and there is no element of competition, and it is for the purposes of training and improving your skills then you're sweet. As soon as you start a clock or there is an element of competition, you're no longer covered Those are pretty much her exact words as I remember them.
I wonder if new bikes with lap timers would be covered? Also, I guess track day organisers need to be careful to ensure there is at least the impression that riders are getting some tips and pointers from experienced racers?

Well fuck me I did the same thing and I'm covered too. They just said as long as it's not a race and it's just for 'training' I'm fine.

Bet they'll start getting worried about it after the first 20 or so calls :disapint:
