The coils that came on your bike had the leads permanetly attached, If it still has these coils (most don't) you may aswell replace them now, I found some off a ZXR400 that bolted up to the original brackets and all.

But you will be judged on your spelling, nevertheless...beware the BDOTGNZA.

With regards to your plug caps parting company with their respective HT leads...fear not that you need to replace (necessarily).
1. the HT leads are sealed to the coil(s) so cannot be replaced without the coils too.
2. The plug caps may not be sealed to their lead...have a look in the cap where the lead goes. Is there a screw-like object in there? If so, then clip a minimal bit off the end of the HT lead and screw the cap back on to the lead. Be sure you don't chop off too much or the lead won't reach the plug anymore!!
3. If the cap was originally sealed to the lead, you will probably have to replace the whole shebang (Coil, lead, cap).
4. An auto electrician would be your best bet for cobbling some repairs if 2 is not an option, and you can't find suitable replacements

Head to a few bike shops and get a few quotes for the leads specific for your bike and grab the cheapest. If they come off that easily then I'd say that is where your problem lies, fix problems part by part, otherwise it's hard to cancel out and narrow down the real problem!

Our club president Squiggles holds our fix-it days, and he lives just off the New Market end of Manukau Rd.

hay guys latest update on my bike.
a very special thanks to "barty5" he fix the lead for me today, even got the temperature gauge started again and i've learned so much about my bike. he is a real legend i can't thank him enough. really great guy willing to help out a complete stranger, that's something money can't buy. also thanks to everyone that given me advice. they are very helpful advice (i know i sound weird but i just wanna say thanks).

now i can finally enjoy my bike.

Be lucky it wasn't a ZXR250.. Have to bloody take the radiator off to get to the spark plugs.. and i only realized that once i took off the tank and the tank mounts and the ignition coils O well bike its at the mechanics maybe later on this arvo... My poor old ninja
