    Talking Elbow problem

GN 250, half of the mirror view is of my elbows, well, pretty as they are, I'd prefer to see more of the cars behind me. Is it just a matter of fiddling with them or do I need longer stalks or whatever they are called, can you get one's that stick out further. I'm a standard size and shape though my arms are a bit long, close to my simian ancestors perhaps.

I had a similer problem on just one side though, I loosend the nut of the stork at the handle bar and swiveled it ever so slightly and it seemed to give me a better angle.

Easy fix to elbows is to break them.

Half is better tha nothing...half more than a lot of other motorcycles.
YOU may be "standard size" but the bike is little. Directly behind is not as important as the left and right rear areas (vehicles about to overtake).
Pull your elbows in if you need to see more. On corners always spare a glance in the mirrors... you'll live longer...

You can get ones with longer stalks, they're 15-20 a piece up here at cycletreads

I concur completely. I have the same issue on my GN. I too have long limbs. It's not a problem as most of the time half the mirror is plenty. If I need more I just pull my elbow in briefly.

Thanks for the tips, it must have been my misspent youth hanging from the chandeliers.

don't rely totally on your mirrors anyway, always do a turn around head check,we used to call it the lifesaverit will pick up things that could be in your mirrors "blind spots".
