    Looking good on the Motorway.

Hi all, I've recently bought my first bike, a KLX 250R. Being new to biking, i didn't quite realize how much wind/resistance there is on the motorway...

To counter against that I've taken to moving back in my saddle and leaning lower, kind of sports bike style.. but it has occurred to me that this may look stupid on a dual purpose/dirt bike style bike...

Anyone got an opinion on it? Do people lowering their profile whilst on a dual purpose look stupid?

Yup... you might just have to get used to the wind resistance or stop worrying about what other people think you look like

I've seen scooterists and cyclists leaning forward (not on the motorway though) and they did look a little silly, but they didn't look like they cared. At the end of the day, if you're having fun, who cares what people think you look like.

Welcome to KB, and ride safe!

Wear your undies on the outside, put on a cape, tinted visor... and try again...

Most important is when you reach the 70kph zones you must stand tall on the pegs. All adventure riders do this.

Really, it doesn't matter what others might think. Just get out there and enjoy it.

It means stand up... a good idea too is to put your feet on the seat. this shows what a skilled rider you are. Get a friend to follow in a car and take photos. Always good to do on a publicised protest ride. Post the photos on site... make sure reg. plate is clearly visible. this is to make sure nobody else claims credit... everybody does it...

250 did ya say ? And ya have to lean forward ya say ! I say yr speeding lol or at least if a cop catches a glimps of ya doing that he might just decide you were and book ya for exceeding 70 km on ya learners !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"
