Bookings and busts not counting, I've been pulled over for a 'Licence check' on 2 occasions. Breath tested half a dozen times. WOF checked once.

Keep it all in order and it's no stress.

Never on the SV. Twice on the GS' for a donation to the government coffers. Much easier to read the speedo on the SV.

I rode regular old bikes for yonks and never got stopped. Then I bought a Benelli which looked WAYYYYYY different. AT which point I got stopped by every goddam cop in town, mainly coz they wanted to gawk at the unusual beast.....didn't get ticketed, but was once reprimanded for wagging a finger at a copper who passed me on the highway........he assured me that my speedo read way over actual speed........musta been feeling guilty I reckon.......

Cheers for the thread... I just got pulled up shortly after midday... First one like this.

They didn't like my license plate being all dirty (it IS winter y'know). Anyway, I'll have to give it another clean, it was the sole reason they pulled me up too.

At least I can chalk it down to the first time I have ever been pulled up specifically, and not ridden away with a ticket

In nearly 30 years riding about 6 times (excluding wof,reg and breath tests) all for valid reasons. Last time was on a Husaberg 650 wheel standing down Blockhouse bay road late at night coming home from work, Imagine..... pulled of the roundabout pulled it up on the power in 2nd into 3rd, snik 4th, down she comes puff of smoke and a satisfying squeal from the front tyre....slow down feeling pleased with myself and I'm bathed in a flashing blue and red glow!!!! In a hurry sir? blah blah blah

I ride a yellow Hyosung GT250R, on my L's although I don't wear an L plate. I've never been pulled over but I don't really do anything to warrant it, I'm pretty cautious at riding but also confident.

I have a friend who is a cop who says that if you don't do anything dangerous and just ride safely, L plates or not they will leave you alone.

Lazy buggers!! But but but... I told them you were a badboy druggie, had a tinnie op in your roof with 12 illegal immigrant prostitutes in your bedroom (oh and Mom) and always carry at least an ounce of P in your wallet for an after lunch pick-me-up.
