Well I guess that comes down to your own tastes, I think 4 $trokes $ound $hit where as a well muffled well jetted two stroke on the pipe sounds awesome.
I also think 4 $ylinder cars that go "piss churrr...." $ound $hit and I prefer the $ound of a V8. Perhaps it has more to do with volume.

Yeah I agree, factory spec 4T's sound mean and I still like the sound of a stock CRF BUT...
When I hear a nicely tuned 2T it's enough to make me wet my pants. To me it's the sound I grew up hearing and love it.
In regards to injected 2T, I know Yamaha Japan has been working on their injection into the YZ's and expected to be out 2011![]()
Here's a post I prepared earlier . . . it wasn't wheel spinning that time, but "snap" is a great way to discribe how the front came up in fourth.
The difference for me is that the 2T's sound great when their at full noise, but the 4T's sound great all the time, revving, engine braking, even idling.
The problem with the 4T sound is how far it carries . . .
I currently have a 2t - I would nt mind one of each.
Whether you think you can or cant - you will always be right.
I love 4t, but like riding with 2t just for the smell when you are following them.
nothin like the wheelies you can pull on 4t tho, its just so easy with so much consistant power.
Bring on the weekend
2 Stroke cause i got one, had a 4stroke, but not what i want out of riding. Gotta be honest, i'm new to this game but i love the workout of the 2 stroke, 4 stroke made for lazy riding IMO!
Id buy a kx500 if they still sold them! Id say ill be getting a injected kxf450 though
they still do, a company in america. they make the cr500 as well,
heres the link http://www.mps500af.com/
