McJim & Chickadee Bikes up for sale soon

    Well it's come to this.

I've had to take a bit of a salary downgrade coz I'd forgotten what my children looked like. The new job is definately more my cuppa though. Something has had to give and unfortunately it looks like it's the bikes. Need to tart them up a bit for sale o'course but thought I'd just throw it out there that we'll be putting them up on retardme over the next month or so to give us a lump o'cash to keep us heads above water.

If anyone wants to nip in early with an offer feel free to do so, bikes are as follows:

2006 Suzuki GSX750F - 27,500km and all services religiously adhered to.
1997 Ducati 600ss - 51,000km - belts changed at 40,000km, Just had an oil & filter change. Pics available on my attachments and in my gallery.

The reason this isn't in the trading section is that the format forced me to write an ad...which I'm not ready to do until the bikes are all tarted up for sale...

    Cheers all.

Nah, it'll be pedals for me. Back to my bicycle road racing roots methinks.

Until the kids go to school and the missus gets a job of course...THEN I'm gonna get a 1098 for having to make the sacrifice in the meantime (or at the very least a 749)

Sad news Jamie. And this talk of going back to the 'other side' is quite worrying.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Don't do it! Don't join the dark side (or is it the other way around? )

You can sacrifice children just as well - the pagan spirits of the south will very much appreciate this.

Or at least get one of those strap-ons for your pushbike... I mean one of those little 60 ccm two-stroke engines, they'd pretty much have to let you into the rallies then... Two wheels and an engine

All jokes aside, sorry to hear it - hope you'll get a good price for your lovelies! (And I hope your children will grow up to appreciate your sacrifice and not to become ingrateful P-dealing scum )
If you hurry up and get your kids through the system in let's say 3-6 months instead of the normal 10+ years DMNTD might have a 1098 for sale when you're done.
It is preferential to refrain from the utilisation of grandiose verbiage in the circumstance that your intellectualisation can be expressed using comparatively simplistic lexicological entities. (...such as the word fuck.)

Crikey, sorry to hear that matey, but know the reasoning and you being a canny Scotsman and all, it all makes sound sense. I reckon you should just keep a nice little A100 or something to keep ticking around on, just to keep your hand in !

And like you said, you can always pick it up later when the timing is right!

(I guess when I come down your ways, you can always have a wee blat on whatever I decided to ride down on! )

Sad to hear this McJim.....been there done that.....

Maybe not my place to give you advice.....BUT you won't be doing yourself or yours any favours by sacrificing to much of yourself......

Kids need time and attention.......and happy parents.
If you give away to much of yourself, you may not be the father/partner your family deserves.

You and your partner have to invest in yourselves as well, you are the kids biggest assets.......

    F**k money!

( bad advice coming from somebody who spends more then half his life at sea.............I know, trust me I know.....)

Opinions are like arseholes: Everybody has got one, but that doesn't mean you got to air it in public all the time....

    Do Not Do It

    Rule #1 : Never Sell A Ducati

Rule #2: Always Obey Rule #1

    Do Not Do It

You will never get anything like what it's worth to you.

Dont warrant it, dont register it. Jush it to the back of the garage, cover with a sheet, spend nothing on it and leave it there.

One day (pretty soon) the kids will be bigger, 'er-in-doors will be in paid employment and you will have the time, the money and the inclination to go ride...

    Been there, still doing that...

PS: Yeah - ping the 'Zuki - it aint worth sheet
