Need to tart them up a bit for sale o'course but thought I'd just throw it out there that we'll be putting them up on retardme over the next month or so to give us a lump o'cash to keep us heads above water.

If anyone wants to nip in early with an offer feel free to do so, bikes are as follows:

2006 Suzuki GSX750F - 24,000km and all services religiously adhered to.
1997 Ducati 600ss - 51,000km - belts changed at 40,000km, Just had an oil & filter change. Pics available on my attachments and in my gallery.

The reason this isn't in the trading section is that the format forced me to write an ad...which I'm not ready to do until the bikes are all tarted up for sale...

    Cheers all.
    Bummer man.
Hope you are able to get back into riding in the near future!

Well they're not quite gone yet since one of the disadvantages of a senior management position is a long notice period.

It's prudent to wait until the warmenr weather approaches to entice people to buy a bike (hiding to nothing tryint to sell it in the Winter).

We will be trying to get babysitters and get out for a wee blat together before the bikes are gone.

sell the missus bike and keep yours.

There are two reasons for this.

Woman are ment to ride pillion.
You wont get much change out of sweet FA for your bike.

Its a sacrifice your missus is going to have to make.
Then I could get a Kb Tshirt, move to Timaru and become a full time crossdressing faggot

    'Ere we go then.

First bike is up for sale. Silly low reserve by the way so I don't want any numbnuts bidding to see how low the reserve is and than saying "I didn't mean to buy it! - I was drunk" (you know who you are)

If I get enough for this one I'll keep the Duchess. If I don't manage to sell it (which at the reserve I'm asking shouldn't happen) or don't sell it for enough I actually have a private buyer already very interested in the Ducati so it probably won't even reach Trademe.

Cheers for the best wishes and advice folks....in fact someone could bid on the bike, get it for it's reserve price and sell it for a profit! c'mon, you know you want to!

    Down but not out

As I've said before this is not the final nail in the coffin for our biking lives. If we can get the right childcare there is a good chance the missus can go back to work. Then she has said she want's to by a Monster.

The unfortunate thing at the moment is that all the childcare spaces are full down here.

So it's a big if at the moment.

My daughter is in Dunedin and has the same problem with child care there. She has had to cut down to working 12 hour shifts on the weekends when her husband is at home to look after them. Good luck which ever way it goes.

Come on fella...think laterally! Heard of Barnardos child care?
Mrs McJim could start her own child care in your own home thus negating the requirement of selling either of said steeds.
One of the mothers to one of my kids used to do it....paid OK too.
    Linky thang...

McJim - you will def get bikes again. I am (hopefully) just about to rejoin the riding ranks after almost 4 years with no bike.

Our youngest is now 1 and I am off to get a bike again. YAYAYAYAY

Kids are well worth the break.
I love to ride. But I love my kids more. Simple as that.

Does Chickadee ride the Ducati at all? What if there was a way that you could both use the same bike (at different times of course)?
