Not much tread on the tyres on this model. Also I'd be a bit worried about the amount of suspension travel over the whoops.

Looks like a Luxury exhaust on it?

Stop taking the piss, I'm sure he's serious about it........

Buy it, we'll all come to the inaugural ride, KTMboy will throw in a free entrance to Woodhill just to help get you started.

The KTM200 exc, however, is a neat bike, as in all these things it depends on the condition and how well it's been maintained. Inspect carefully.

It looks reasonably tidy for the age and priced quite well. You would be paying that for a KDX of the same year.

Once you take all the lights off and just put a blank number board on the front it would look even better.

    Fat expansion chambers are luxurious

All EXC200s go on my watch list as soon as they appear. (Currently casting furtive glances at that sweet and shiny '08 in TGA with only 5 hours on it).

To me, this particular one has the look of a bike that's not been abused and seems very well maintained, due to new spares listed and not yet fitted (That's proper maintenance. Not waiting for things to break).

Photos only give a general indication of condition though - need to see it up close and give everything a wiggle. It's not a lot of money but nothing is more used than a used dirt bike. These things tend not to be owned by Nanna riders who trundle around on the smooth stuff either.
If it checks out OK it seems like good value to me, ($2300 should own it) although there was an '02 for $2500 a couple of weeks ago.

I've been IMPATIENTLY waiting for a low hrs '07 EXC200 to turn up for the last 3 long months. As my money tree is lacking foliage, I'm currently considering an older one as a stop gap. They certainly look like value especially compared to similar age KDX, but EXC200 probably not as robust as your KDX (and harder to sell). Seen a few with gearbox rebuilds. This is the biggy that puts me off an older one, having no personal experience with gearbox work.

The 'right' dirt bike is usually not the practical one though, I know what I'd rather be rolling off the trailer. I just want an orange one dammit.

came across this 2005 Ktm 200 while checking out things on the straps thread.

    http://www.topfun.co.nz/bikes-for-sale-xidg27172.html

no pics but there's one at a shop on Tardme for $5500 so $4600 may be worth a look.

    Good luck!

New brake pads AND discs, but only done 1000km? Get real.

Bike looks OK for the money but that km reading is at odds with the rest of the package.
    Cheers,
