Went for a quick squirt today, over Rosedale Rd, Jacobs Ladder, Mot Valley Hwy, Mt Arthur, Takaka Hill, Canaan Downs (plenty space to play up there ), damn it's good to have a sunny day, loads of corners and a tank full o'gas. The Frog goes wild, happy again! Mt Arthur and Canaan Downs roads are in primo, hard fast condition, might even do it again in the morn. Any takers?

Well folks what a great weekend. Sounds like you had a good ride crazy. I managed to get out of the house about 4pm today. I weighed up between squeezing in the last 10mins of the bike show or riding - I went riding.

I went up sharlands to have a poke around but the gates up sharlands(3k) & central road were locked. Could have rode around them but thought better not lest we loose access altogether.

Ended up going over the maunga again (getting to know it pretty well now) & down & back along the road. What a fantastic feeling having a warm breeze thru the helmet rather than having snot icicles hanging from ones nose. Summer is slowly coming

Anyone doing the 6hr cross country next weekend as I'm crewing for some friends. BTW what do you call those fires they have in the pits where you can't see the flames? I want to try one

Nah, not me, I didn't quite get that far, but would have ended up in the same position if I had got there.
Can't be to hard to find the 6 hr, Korere's a small place and I guess it'll be sign posted

Could have had a bit of a problem getting through that hole on the two wheelers, I saw a few very dirty 4x4 s on the road as I rode my Indian home from the bike show and wondered if you guys were in the same condition.

Jenni and I went up Mt Duppa and had a play around on the roads there.
It was quite cool when I would ask which direction at a junction and she'd point to the one that didn't lead back to the main road
This was the first time she has gone exploring with me.
Well apart from once through the Maungatapu when it was at it's worst and put her off for over a year

If I get my new forks on the XR in time I'll race the 6-hour otherwise I'll be there taking photos.

Still undecided about the 6hr. Would definitely be racing if the bike hadn't packed a sad , as I really enjoyed last year. Will have to see if I can blag a ride with a mate (pony express) or maybe even just go out to help as crew or marshal.

PS might be doing an afternoon ride in the next couple of days, over the Maungatapu to Pelorus for coffee. Any takers?
    Cheers,
    Colin
