Ulysses had to move to Zumo after Saltwater (on the waterfront) closed down. They have a standing meeting Sat am every week.

Watch where you park, at Zumo early this week:

Shame that picture is cropped; the printed version showed a fireman's boots sticking out of the silver car's window.

Was a big hit, 4 cars damaged.

My suggestion would be Oasis, beside the river at Millers Acre (the i-Site complex cnr Trafalgar & Halifax St, DB1k start/finish). It's a bit ma-and-pa but is quite nice to sit outside by the river in the sun, food/coffee/service great, prices reasonable. Again plenty of parking including designated m/c parks.

Let us know the time & venue, I'll try to get there.

There was a light blue-ish mufti cop commodore parked in town yestdy. The usual give-away: cop-worthy steel wheels.
    Cheers,
    Colin

sorry to dick you guys around but we ended up staying near Mapua.

Can we meet at the Smokehouse cafe in Mapua tomorrow morning at 9.30am?

If there is a frost tomorrow I assume there is no point heading over the Takaka hill anytime before 10??

    I'll check back later

BTW the norton is a bit of a shitter but seems to go okay(ish) - front brake looks like its a drum off a honda ct90......

Why don't we just spend the day riding laps around Mapua drinking coffee between laps. Saves wasting energy doing all that superfluous stuff like adventuring...

Reeeeealy laid back ride, Nordie'll have some pics later I guess.
At least you took a camera, mind you I was too busy trying to keep up and keep the bike going where I wanted it to go I wouldn't have had time for pics

Note to self...... ditch E-08's on little bike
