Good point but I was just thinking of numbers. The adv crew are the ones I hang with & I kinda wanted a adv ride too so maybe Jens idea would be good for all the other KBers

Jen of course has to come cos she's one of the enlightened ( well she will be when she gets her arse into gear & gets an adv bike.) Zerax & Bubs (if he's around) are most welcome too.

How about Sat 28th Nov leaving town say mid avo for a bbq around 6ish? That way WW can hang out for a bit.

If Sat is no good for you Mot workers Sun 29th?

Is anyone keen on the ride and/or bbq idea for next weekend?

Yes, will be there for the bbq but probably won't have the bike ready for the ride.
    Cheers,

Would love to go for a hoon this weekend, but have my dear old ma and pa visiting from sunny hawkes bay. That and the bike is in bits whilst it gets wheel bearings and fork seals and clutch/stand bypass mod and fixing rear rack mount and new headlight and brake light switch etc etc.

Is the bbq next sat or sun??
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

It can be either depending on whether you & Jatz have to work so if Jatz is good for Sat what are you like?

Went for a evening cruise out to Hori bay last nite. The sun setting over the western ranges thru the kanuka was a soul soothing scene. The road has been graded so was very smooth however the 1st rain will make it a slippery snot surface.

I had the front wheel wash out on a really slow corner resulting in me having to hold the bike & blow my fufu valve again so may just have a road ride this weekend. (funny how I put the tyre pressures up to extend the life of the tyres yet on gravel they''l be the thing to shorten my life - gotta get priorities right)

saturday should be good, i very rarely work saturdays. just gotta get the beast together. Did the clutch/stand bypass mod, easy peasy took about 2 minutes.

Thanks heaps Padmei, but I'm literally living two lives at the moment. The life in Blenheim is one with two squealing kids, an emotional wife and no Africa Twin.

    Wellington on the other hand...

    Have a good one!
There are two kinds of adventurers: those who go truly hoping to find adventure and those who go secretly hoping they won't. We should come home from our adventures having faced their perils and uncertainties, endured their discomfort and beaten the odds, with a sly acknowledgment and revitalised solidarity of character.
