Just imagine if you could ride for the whole 3 hours like you did in the first 15 minutes.
I remember back in the day that racing was way easier and bettere and less crashy when my fitness was good for the footy season. Still wasn't much good but definitely better than unfit.
    You have a benchmark now.
That old footy fitness pays out when it comes to manhandling bikes. You don't seem to mind lifting up a KLR over your head during a session.

Was that the one with or without the engine?

Either. The one without the engine is slower uphill but faster down. No brakes either.

Well, I can't blame my complete lack of fitness and riding ability on the bike but i've hopefully worked out some of the handling issues i was having. Measured the rider sag this avo which was 145mm!!!!!! no wonder it felt like it was dragging it's arse like a dog with worms. i've now got it set at 90mm which should help things somewhat, hopefully it helps the front which had a rider sag of just 57mm.
Maybe by haising the rear it'll weight the front a bit more?

Fortunately i'm one of the lucky ones who is in the drz's target weight range and shoudn't need to change springs.

Already looking forward to the next xc!

Now what I don't get is why after all the borrowing and loving of Adv bikes why you went out and got a brand new (and very nice I might add) roady??... just to be followed up by asking for another loaner Adv one.
