Kewl. I have 8 'unsure' sections, including the eastern section which has me perplexed. I think I have the beginning & end but can't see how they'd join up!
    Cheers,

Yes it is official DR250's have average electrics, I have a spare stator that is supposed to be off a running bike, $79 off trademe. My stator 'should' be fine at the moment as it has come off a bike that a guy has been using every weekend for the last year or so. Unless the stator gremlin is still living in my bike and has fcuked this one too....

I have a plan....... Need to know numbers that would be keen but I grew up in Upper Takaka and Harwoods now owns a Station on the Westcoast and it boarders the northern boundary of Kahurangi National Park. So basically over the Takaka hill out through Collingwood to the westcoast and head south as far as the road goes. Most of you guys up there may have done this trip?

I can organise accommodation for up to 20, charge a minimal amount to cover food and a few Beers. Head over Saturday and be there for a BBQ tea, and a few beers. Its amazing country with access to the beach and sand dunes. There are three river crossings and would probably be weather dependent. I would organise a 4WD to take food luggage and be a safety vehicle (not that it would be needed)

As a poor weather alternative they own most of Upper Takaka and rustic accommodation would be available there with the Cobb and Barons Flat it could still be a night away?

Its a dream at this stage, but if enough interest, I'll sort a date with the landowners and start the ball rolling?

Got to a mates place & he noticed the exhaust header nut had come off- you could see the exhaust leak marks. Replaced it & is heaps better. Coming down Takaka hill was a long series of explosions. I had a cop follow me thru Mot so it was a steady hand on the throttle & lots of clutch
