Got a bit cocky & had a 3rd gear off past bobs fern 1 when I glanced off a side wall doing the side tracks
I managed to get up the steep side of the Heringa Stream with the road tyres.
    Didn't expect too though

Better than a 3rd gear off on Gonzo though

Overlooks the Lud to the north and Gun Club valley to the south.
    Further up it's just steep...

We need to get ya down the gun club valley and out by isolated trig.

    Uncanny aye.
Yeah... I had a bit of a tear in my eye when I saw the pick :sniff:
It's astounding that you can leave it outside for months on end and it'll fire up pretty much straight away. Good bike that one

    Congrats Padders

I have no idea where you were or what you did, but you look pretty stoked in the pic.

It's the steep one where we waited at the base for piglet when he wimped out coming down to the intersection/skid site and got stuck that day.

The one that everybody else seems to get up Woodman knows it cos I launched the KLX over one of the tank traps without me on it The forest is bloody boney at the mo. alot of new roads cut in around Thomas rd where they're logging.

Well done that man. What was your technique?

Took the tractor for a ride over Porika and Braeburn and back this arvo and then went through the Dryweather road on the way home this.

The dryweather road has either been covered with 5 feet of grey marbles, the klr needs serious suspension work or I was riding like a looney, or a combination of all three cos it was a bit hairy in places.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Anyone up for a ride on Saturday morning? First time I have some riding time in for ages. Thinking Hori Bay, as I've done very little exploring out that way off piste.
    Cheers,
    Colin

apparently the owner's quite a good barstard (& big) so I'll reserve judgement. It's got fuelling issues...

Seen the 2 scooters they have in the back (well amongst the hundreds i spose) One is actually broken in half from a big Russian fisherman - as in only the flexible plastic foot mat is holding it together.

The other one the owner rode it in sfter hitting a car - one fork was competely broken off the triple clamp - it could turn reslly well one way...

I rode the Maungatapu every evening for 2 weeks leading up to the last one.
Ended up where I could do the whole trip over to Heringa Stream and back without sitting down.

    It worked.
I didn't get lapped until at least 1km into the 1st lap.
