Today is crap for me, tomorrow arvo is way betterer.

I remember after a huge rain a while back when we went up the Maunga, it was incredibly dry and unmuddy. Odd

Last Warrant I got on the 640 was a bit the same. Dropped bike off in the morning (with broken starter clutch - no elec leg 640 has left foot kick)
Picked up later in the day with a warrant on it. They commented I needed to get it fixed.

Whole garage watched as I kick started it. First kick .They then admitted they couldn't get it started, but could not find a reason to fail it.

Lucky I get on with them OK

I would be a bit warey of the pelorus area...
went over to nelson last sat..run into some hobbits
    at pelorus...
    Peter Jackson was filming there...
Shit yer wouldn't beleave the crap he had there...
trucks of scaffolding pipe.. must have been 15 trucks & vans.
    satalite dish.. wire cables everywhere...
Couldn't see anything..they were filming on the down stream side..
the whole bridge was sheilded off with black plastic sheet...

Any ways.... what time yer looking at being at pelorus?
    could make up the numbers...
    Pete

90% of all Harleys built are still on the road... The other 10% made it back home...
Ducati... Makeing riders into mechaincs since 1964...

The Hobbits have packed up and gone away for a bit, so Pelorus should be good to go.
But not for me, working Sundee

Maitai Valley is clear of slips, but road blocked at Smiths Ford (due pipeline works).
Access to Mangatapu via Sharlands is anyone's guess after the rain/slips.
