If so I will stay in Nelson sat nite, meet at the iron bridge and high tail it home after we're done.

Looks like my suspension bits arent going to arrive in time so I guess I'll just bung the swingarm back on with the best of the worst bits.

Plan is to do the Lyell to Denniston track on the way down - probably at the iron bridge about mid day on saturday then back up via maruia saddle, braeburn, porika etc on sun arvo - but suggestions welcome!!

There may even be a new muffler and steering damper on the mighty TT by then.

At this stage i may be able to do a Saturday day ride only, and thats only if I can talk(bribe) someone into working. Sunday out at this stage.

The gate was open the other week and we ust pootled on through, but not sure what its status will be on a weekend day.

I'd go for that as well cos I can make Iron Bridge by midday from here then scoot back to NN for the night so either is good.
I'd prefer an early run on sun though.... just because it opens up the option of turning back at denniston and doing a run in the other direction with a bit more daylight up the sleeve.

weatherwise this w/e looks like a winner with no serious rainfall for the week following but my crystal ball doesnt extend to 28,29th.

I would prob be in for the following weekend but don't let that dictate things as the weather could change & it could be crap & I decide not to go.

I'm feeling that everyone is prefering the idea of day ride rather than a night away.

Ok I think I have the hang of this - this Saturday 8:45 at Mobil Richmond for a 9am start - straight ish to iron bridge over to Denniston and back again and if any time left do other stuff?
