    Lake sedgemere to Severn River

Yup, rode it solo today after hearing about it from some 4wd'ers at work who'd been through last weekend.

Did a loop Nelson - Rainbow to Lake Sedgemere, Severn track to Molesworth, to Jollies intersection and continued on up Rainbow without stopping in Hanmer. Got back to St Arnaud fuel stop on the smell of fumes, I misjudged the distance from Severn River intersection back to Rainbow.
Bloody windy today and quite cold, was 8deg at start of Rainbow this morn and 12deg when I got back to St Arnaud at 1pm, so I'm a bit knackered, not too ride fit at the mo. 420km round trip.
Nice to do a new track, it's okay but not stunning, the Malings Pass ride is better IMO. Good to ride on some grass though instead of boney gravel, hell the Rainbow seemed extra lumpy today, the big chunks of gravel and bad grader work nearly shook my fillings out. There seemed to be more than usual scree slope damage on the road and the rocks were sharp as sharp thing, got a few good cuts on the T63 is was using. Had nothing to do with spinning it up of course.
Took a few photos, will do a RR soon. Maybe on ADVrider cos they aren't photo Nazis over there.

Just a track really, as for technical, a blindfolded retard could ride it with falling off.... unless it was wet and the bike was shod with Deathwings and the grass was REALLY slippery, and you still had no skills.

    RR posted here now http://advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=949394

We did a loop through the Penzance pylon track from home yesterday and it makes an awesome 140km ride, first time I've made a clean run through there.
Its fairly technical so take your best suspension and skills with you, oh and best attacked from the Elaine Bay end especially if its a bit damp.

    Yum, venison burgers.

Carrying out whole slabs of meat like that is a bit of a balancing act on the adv bike, eh Nordie. When I did similar thing up the Mangatapu, the load kept shifting on the way down the hill. Worth the effort tho!

    Chateau Rhubarb.

Marks said to post on here to meet him at Chataeu Rhubarb at 8;15 am for an assault on the rainbow /severne rivertrack or somewhere tomorrow morning.

I will be there on the GS.
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

    I feel

Apparently, Padmei with his white peanut shell, black leather jacket, canvas pants and black boots looks like a "proper" biker.

Whereas I, with my black peanut shell, pink/purple jacket, black knee length shorts and gay white stormtrooper MX boots, don't

I didn't know it was a fashion contest. I thought that was for push bikes...

I wasn't gonna say anything but yeah I think the white stormtroopers & black kneelengths aren't quite as cool as the gardening gloves & home stitched knee pads

Ask Woodman if he had an arse puckering moment today...

He's a consenting adult. What he and MarkS get up to is between them.

Unless there's a YouTube link of course...

PS: I'd heard MarkS had taken up the banjo, but that could be a nasty rumor started by a DR rider...

Didn't do the Rainbow with Marks, but went up Ben Nevis and then down (rapidly) on the GS with Padmei.
