Just sitting down to watch "The Last Hurrah", picked up the DVD at the bike show in town today, was good to see the actuall bikes on display
anyone else want a look after mygsxf
What bike show?
Thanks to the Nelsonians who turned up for the coffee stop. Good to catch up again. By the way the "dog" is now safely tucked away in the shed. Was between 2 and 4 degrees for much of the way down with a high of about 10 degrees and a fair bit of ice between Glen Hope and Murch. Not that I'm complaining or anything - the suffering was worth it

Excellent advertising for it. I went into 3 bike shops on Fri & no mention of it anywhere. Oh well it would have upset me knowing I was missing out on something while I was cleaning up![]()
Oh damn. Missed it.
I had to be content with taking pics and vids at a 3 hour cross country race.
Police issued a traffic road warning this morn, worst ice in 20 years in Nelson region, due frost build up over last 7 days. More frosts to come as well every day this week.
They said on tv this morn that motorcyclists need to take extreme care, maybe some had spills yesterday. Take care folks.....
I'd agree. As said above the Ice between Glen Hope and the Owen is pretty full on yesterday when I rode down. The road was white from edge to edge except the the wheel tracks which looked like sheet ice. No drops or mishaps but I was doing 50-70kph for most of it. Pleanty of other shaded spots with ice as well.
Take care out there people.
Cheers R

Some crazy friends went across Takaka hill yesterday & slid all the way around the corners loving it. Me, I'll wait till it thaws out a bit - or choose my route carefully.
BTW went into bike shop I visited on Fri this morn & saw poster for bike show - I wasn't paying enough attention![]()
