Classic MX at Hinetai on Monday and trailride at Hinetai next weekend...

The trailride is quad and trailbike friendly.

Ah that corner - Doug (son of umopom) buried his DR125 up to the handlebars in the swamp on the outside of the corner - came out like a block of mud and had to be thrown into the river to clean up - been very wary since,

This just makes me bloody angry. The land owners have know about this corner for years. It has caught many people out, killed one that I know of, and almost killed me. Still they wont do anything, get Transpower to do anything (they own the road apparently) or allow me to do anything (I've offered). Maybe I should try talking to Transpower - now that's an idea.

Have a read of this thread Umopom. Took a lot of tonge biting on my behalf at the time but funny when I look back at it now.

Ouch - didn't realise that it was that infamous, luckily Doug wasn't injured just very muddy and he learned a lesson - we have all been there!!! I agree that something is better than nothing, the sign doesn't have to be flash just something to made you think.

Good luck with that umo. I suggested the same thing in the big thread & wow it was like the world was gonna explode if a sign went up.
If I was driving thru the rainbow I'd take a small sign to put before the corner . Piece of ply painted white with just an arrow going around a sharp corner.
Bit of a pain in the arse to carry on the bike tho.

Got 2 new very cheap knobblies for the laidback. Nice shiny looking things. Hope I don't wear them out on the road getting there.

I will be doing a lil blast thru the forest again tomm avo after the Mapua Easter fair if anyone wants a bit of fun... Will stay away from river crossings.

Prob about 130ish again? Can't put a definate time up cos I might be sick from the candyfloss & whirling dervishs.
