I can't see the rebuild being too bad either. Give it a go - you did a good enough job fabricating stuff on the KTM. I reckon a keen bloke like yourself would do alright.
Sorry guys I was researching about freight & came across this. i had to laugh & share it
A truck driver was driving along on the motorway.
A sign comes up that reads, " Low Bridge Ahead."
Before he knows it, the bridge is right ahead of him and he gets stuck under the bridge.
Cars are backed up for miles.
Finally, a police car comes up.
The officer gets out of his car and walks to the truck driver, puts his hands on his hips and says, "Got stuck, huh?"
The truck driver says, "No, I was delivering this bridge and ran out of gas."
[QUOTE=topo;1129766795]Well i'm out for any riding this weekend. was giving the DRZ a few more oil changes after going swimming with it in the wairoa river on monday afternoon but after warming it up noticed white smoke/steam - popped the radiator cap to find it bubbling flat out.
I used to charge into rivers, now that i've felt their rath i'd rather get wet feet!!!!!

Give it a go yourself, motors are pretty simple really.

Actually i am a goer for Sharlands or somewhere on Sunday. Gotta get out on the bike before I forget how to ride and floundering around on slippery , muddy, greasy muddiness with a bald rear tyre sounds like a farkin good way to re-edumicate myself.
i am pretty open for times so if anyone has a preference, post it up etc etc.

When in Rome..... but you fellas couldn't organise a piss up in a brewery. Guess you norfeners are a bit more laid back than me.
Straw man -> 10am at Sharlands car park?
Should have got the second nappy change done by then
Cheers R

Awwwww but it's Sunday........what about sleep-ins, and leisurely brekky's on the deck.
I should be there though, dragged the CT out from behind the shed and fired it up this afternoon, even got a BIG can of engine start and a couple of spare plugs![]()
Might be there - how bald do your tyres have to be?????
Cheers

I might have used it a bit wrong - Wiki article.
I've heard it used as a starting point/argument in a debated that is likely not to stand i.e. I didn't really expect you to go with 10am unless you wanted too.

I'll be a starter for 10am, and yes , it's gonna be slipperier than a bucket of eels. For those who just want to cruise the gravel (and maybe grab Padmei's tag) worn tyres will be fine, but for those wanting to take some of the fine off road excusions, you'll be needing some good tread.
I was out MTB'ing this avo, and the infamous Sharlands/Teal clay is well waterlogged and the even more infamous rock gardens are nice and greasy.
10am sounds good to me.
I went for a brief shake-down run this arvo. It's fcukin' slippery up there!! Greasier than a greasy thing.
Cheers,
Colin
