Something is seriously wrong here. According to the bottom of the page there are 24 people veiwing this thread - 23 guests & 1 member- me. Maybe there's a busload of Italian fans looking for the Chateau Crayfish accomodation house???

    Sounds good for tomm.

Went & saw Senna tonite - very sad...and blurry - got a headache now

Anyone seen Jen lately? Heard a whisper she may be injured? hope not.

    Yep.. unfortunately.. tis true.

Tis looking likely I will be heading to ChCh on Wed, to have surgery on a prolapsed disc in my neck.. has been a veeery lengthy process in getting this far.. let alone the recovery time to come after the op

Am thinking I might have to have a gathering at some point soon.. just to feel like I am still in the land of the living.. have been closeted away at home for weeks now.. & going crazy from boredom....

    anyone know how to crochet.....

Old habits die hard. Can't remember the last time I did an on-road only ride. Need to build up some endurance for the Grand Challenge - will also be doing some night rides over the next month or so.
    Cheers,
    Colin

But you broke your leg on an "Epic Adventure to the Scree Slopes and Snow of Mt Patriarch"

The memories of the ride would almost make it worthwhile

Stop, I am about to swell up as the bailiffs are taking my gear to pay for unpaid bills while off work.

You are right though, it is always an epic adventure on 2 wheels!

Here's hoping you have a speedy recovery Jen & if you get too bored we can come round & talk about fuel consumption & sprocket sizes

Good ride today. Plenty of off road & shennanigans.
We lost Nordie early on when he went down the slippery slope of despair that Woodman & I had walked halfway down the other weekend & decided there was no way up if it didn't come out onto a road. We think he's ok but will send out a pizza if he's not back in a few days.

Woodman & Colin made the hill of impossibility look easy to climb
Piglet cruised effortlessly & smoothly down the steep downhill that Nordie walks down & I nearly frontended over today. Obviously inherits his mother's riding skills well done that lil snouted freak.

I rode 30 odd ks back home on about 1/2 a litre of fuel - gotta remember to fill up that safari tank once in a while. I haven't been in time trial position since riding into Sumner on the aerobars at the end of the coast to coast - ooh me back

when Schmidtty gets on the road again I would be keen on some big bike outings so although today wasn't that appropriate for him there'll be others. It was good meeting him.
