Geez that's like one of THE earliest!

I guess back then rivalry was still alive and well; just Enfield vs BSA; instead of DR vs KLR/KTM vs the rest!!!!!

Nothing wrong with the $2 tire - tube failed, has a number of splits/delamination from construction.

Turns out that flat S12's are good to 65km/h, above that they get a real wobble on

    S12's are the daddy off-road.
Got them on the mighty XR250 race bike.

Took Jenni out to Wakefield, over the Dove Hill to Sunday Creek and up Panic Mac and through to the Spooners this afternoon.

The track was in mint condition.
I expected a bit of mud after the rain but it was sweet.
I want a lower gear for 2up stuff though.

This sounds like a good challenge before my tyre gets too worn and now that bike is back in shape(ish) after laidback.

Maybe we could incorporate this in a ride next weekend . Only sunday at this stage for me (wedding anniversary/wifeys birthday on Saturday).
I mentioned vegetables once, but I think I got away with it...........

Hmmm maybe I can get run off the road on the steep drop off side this time

I was happy with maunga but since a lot of the riders are from the wrong side of town (How does that song go 'east end boys & west end girls...') am happy just to make the most of what evening lite is left wherever.

    Wed nite? 5-530ish?

Two courses being run at Waimea College by someone from Wellignton?!

    Jen knows them I think

25th of April Intermediate (less than 5 years of riding experience)

26th of April Advanced (more than 5 years of riding experience)

$50 (or $25 with student ID/community services card) for the day includes lunch.

    Theory and practical

Maximise fun on your bike and stay safe doing it

    Improve confidence

Understand the limitations of your bike

    Emergency braking

    Obstacle avoidance

    Hazard action plan- situation awareness

    Road craft

If you’re interested contact Krista Hobday at the TDC krista.hobday@tdc.govt.nz

And you'd be welcome to take my bike Jen if it had real tyres!

Anyone got any suggestions for good dual purpose tyres that I can get away with, with the 17" rims!?
