Perhaps freedom to wear what you want, should come with a price (catch). NO ACC cover if "appropiate" safety gear was not worn, should an accident occur...The bill for all medical expenses for your treatment, paid for by you, or your family.
COMPULSORY medical insurance might be a good idea.
FREEDOM HAS ALWAYS HAD ITS PRICE... its the hidden costs that get ya...

I concur. Why should sensible (boring or whatever you want to call us) people who take the proper precautions and wear appropriate/safe gear have to pay increased insurance costs due to the muppets that don't.
Yes give people the freedom of choice to do what but also place the responsibility of thier actions upon them and not everyone else. Stop nannying these people and make them realise the consequences of thier actions.

I have no idea if they were being rude to other peole but I am surprised that you find it so strange/unbelieveable that a slim person can have so much flack. Just think about how much abuse people of ethnic minorities, colour and different sexual orientation get!! I am not alone as this news item shows!

Yes the double whammy, you have to be slim but then when you are slim you are ill and by nature of your slimness being a bad role model for young girls. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. Young girls and calories really frightens me, the thought of young girls having their heads and bodies messed with for the sake of fashion etc is disgusting. I know people talk about self-esteem but I can understand the long-term damage to peoples mental health as a result of body image and the pressure that comes from all areas about how you look.
OK I concede defeat please don't quish me. How about we meet in the middle and share!!

Yippy doodle, also on how efficient your system is at extracting the nutrients from what you eat, some people ( like me ) can digest most of the stuff in the food ( gobble gobble ) and can run on not much food ( not that that stops me from eating a fair swag ) and some people crap lots of it out without it being absorbed, and so can eat loads and not gain weight ( bastards)
Because I hadn't ever heard of it before, witnessed it or thought to deal that one out myself even. Seems almost the opposite of an insult to me...the old "you suck cos your skinny and have a good body and can eat what you wantso there!" Just doesn't compute for me as something that wuold be worthy of 'having a go' at someone for.

I do appreciate you feel damaged by it and can only hope for your sake that you've learnt to just smile and think quietly in your head 'underneath it all they are jealous as sin!' - cos I bet some of these 'fat' people really are. Still curious what you deem to be fat though?
Noone who insults you ever says nice things about your body and you being slim. Did you watch the news link, that is exactly the sort of thing that has happened to me? Not nice at all.
What do I deem as fat, and no it is not anyone who is larger than me. I guess I would call obese people fat.
