Unhappy Bike accident in Tokaroa on the 16th....

Has anyone heard anything about this accident.. Saturday arvo/night-time?

Its been talked about on "Trade Me" message board...
A young guy by the name of Stephen.....

There seems to be talk of another motorbike running over him after he fell off his bike...

"He's in hospital with 5 broken ribs, collapsed lung, broken collar bone and something with his shoulder that needs operating on but they can't at the moment because they've gotta stop the bleeding in the lung. "

Update.... operating next week on his shoulder.

    Tokaroa races???
It happened late saturday night, bout the 2nd to last race about, 10pm. They carried him out on the stretcher. Apparently it was a really really horrible thing to see, from what someone mentioned in the TM message board....

he,s home now and in pain.
he cant remember the crash, he just said he was dooing the biggest jump on the track and some guys werent doing it and the guy in front of him wasnt.
so steve thought he,d just ride over it to then thought nah he will do it.
he,d been doing it all night sweet as but this time changed his line to miss the guy in front and anyway the back wheel kicked around and landed beside his front kicked him off . thats all he remembers ,then a guy behind him jumped and landed on him.
he wont work again for 6 monthes they say.
anyway just letting you know he is well.

Hope your mate is coming along okay soundbeltfarm - best wishes for a speedy recovery.

    Being frustrated is disagreeable.

But the real disasters in life begin when you get what you want.

My goal in life is to be as good a person as my dog already thinks I am.
