Meh, If your going faster then the traffic you encounter then you have to pass. Its the law of the universe.
God himself couldn't go back and change the rules.
If they were a new rider then they probably would have been more worried about the mud.
And look at what some experienced riders just said before...
What's the rush? Why not sit behind other bikes for a few moments until they have had time to check their mirrors and get to know you are behind them? Why are you in such a hurry? Is someone waiting at the end of the road with a chequered flag?First time for us on this road and we were poodling along watching out for the green bits on the road when this loud GSX with an effing loud can comes flying past on a corner and none of us saw you coming!
Ridden with Paul on many an occasion, bloody smooothe rider who rides well within his own limits. Very nice to watch indeed. Like all of us, he risks life and limb by just getting out of bed in the morning, but thats where it stops and I have had many conversations with him about riding safety in general. His views are sound and what you are seeing is a thinking rider who is very aware of his threats and manages his errors. I like the video, its a spectacular exposition of the 1400 on some of our roads around here. I instantly recognize Pauls riding style too. This is a motorcycle forum and we come here to do the motorcycle thing, videos and all.
Oh BTW, a lot of people also die in their beds.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!

Are you just demonstrating you can imagine anything you like to support a weak argument? Must be time to bust out a few statistics.

Look mate, its all about risk. Your black and white outlook is flawed, as it doesn´t represent reality. Get into a car, boat, aeroplane or ride a motorcycle, you are always going to be at risk of hurting yourself or others.
How we manage the risk is what counts. That means thoughtfully driving, sailing, flying or riding within our means. The risk is never entirely eliminated, just managed to an acceptable level. Thats life and if you believe in risk free travel, then don´t ever get onto an aeroplane again. I´ve seen a lot of idiots on the roads riding way in excess of their ability, thus increasing their own and others risk to an unacceptable level. Beyond (paul) is not one of them.
If you love it, let it go. If it comes back to you, you've just high-sided!
