I'm loving it, we just need to get some stoppies and wheelies included in the days outing Paul...!!

As for this thread.. its compressed to near on half its size with 3 gobshites on ignore.. i can only imagine what tripe is being talked and how EVERY word, post and opinion has been dissected by one individual.

    Oh my

From what I saw the scenery is fantastic- thanks BEYOND for showing me an awesome road to visit when I get to NZ.

I think it is a really good idea to watch your riding style, capabilities etc through home made videos. I have been fortunate to watch OWNERS progress with his stunting thanks to his video contributions on youtube!!

What have you found? The same old fears.

Blackbird said '' didnt even see you coming'' which is what I was getting at in a previous post. Its not only YOU the rider out there at any given moment, and its the 'any given moment' that can catch you out. Go back to December 06' and a couple of very experienced riders were caught out on a road they knew...real well.
Na sorry, wont/dont buy into that shit. Nobody is invincible on the road...ever!
Agreed too....Dec 06 wasa freak accident

Well this thread has certainly brought out ignorant comments from people who weren't there and the inferences made by others from what I said which simply aren't accurate.

Yep, the 3 of us didn't see Paul coming. I was leading our group, it was our first time on the northern end of that stretch of road, some shady parts were quite green; our situational awareness was directed at keeping a reasonable pace but mainly at that moment on reading the road surface conditions. Paul caught us entering a bend and our focus was forward for a few seconds to get a safe line - this is almost certainly why we didn't see him. As Paul said, we were keeping well left and there was plenty of room. I can't speak for him, but he may have also considered that riders of big bikes keeping well left weren't about to do anything dumb and even if we did drift out, he still had room. I certainly didn't feel at risk. Can't comment about the rest of the ride as like most of the more rabid posters, we weren't there.

Talk about "He who is without sin, cast the first stone". You'd think from some of the comments that some of us have never enjoyed a good fast fang on roads that we know intimately.

Probably my most common ride that road... just a shitload faster!!

Many of the dangerous shit comments are ott. Remembering that we're watching from the camera's PoV not the riders eyes so miss a lot of things he's seen.

In saying that, few moments there would of scared the shit outta me had I been behind ya but if I were, I'd of been too far behind to see anyway

Interesting, My Hilux cuts out at 180Km/h.

    But that's fast enough......

DB is the new Porridge. Cause most of the mods must be sucking his cock ..... Or his giving them some oral help? How else can you explain it?

Im interested to hear how you would have reacted or what you saw that i missed, im sure ill come up with more as i watch further

Is the cam helmet mounted? fair bit of brake dive as you hit the bridge just after it says 220
Ok, reasonable questions so they deserve an answer.
The car at 3.20. I was on the brakes right until I had assessed there was no driveway on the right to turn into and her hands on the steering wheel were moving left. Only when I was sure she wasn't going to turn in front of me did I reopen the throttle. Frame at 3.32 shows her beginning her turn just before I start to pass.

    I assume you mean 3.42 not 3.45.
The camera was mounted on the top of the headlamp, I could already see way down the hill past the bridge and to the next corner from eye height.
I refuse to overtake in areas where I can't see well enough ahead. That's asking for the short straw.

Wasn't bike dive. On my 1400 the front preload is near maximum. It was the camera nearly flopping over the front under hard braking.
If the destination is more important than the journey you aint a biker.
