Thats quite a jump, be careful, it looks like to nice a bike to break :cool2: THe B's are relatively heavy but fairly quick.
There are 2 forums that are realy good for ZX9R's
    http://www.kgrant.co.uk/Forum/phpBB2/ and
    http://www.bikersoracle.com/zx9/forum/
for nearly all things ZX9R related, try the links page at

    Hey,

Thanks for the links, ill have a look at those over the next few days.

Thanks all for your concern aswell. I do plan on taking it easy for quite a while, I have no desire to be on the road, and I have no desire to scratch the paint!

John - We can talk about you riding my bike this weekend for my Stag, wouldnt hold your breath, but its a possibility. Your more than welcome to a ride though. Should be sorting insurance out on Thursday after I get my bike TOMORROW I hope
I think i need to have my full licence before some companies will insure it though, ill check though.

    Cheers

    HAHA.

I was only kidding about taking it this weekend.

I managed to get insurance for the CBR before I had my full, but they said if I rode it and crashed before I had the full then the insurance wouldn't be paid out.

Really it just means that it's covered for fire, theft and brother in laws
    Anyway...see you this weekend.

    Will do

What company are you with John?
State for me is about $38 a month, Tower is $74 a month!, AMI wont insure me, Swann recommended Kiwibike who was $504 a year, so that is like $40 a month or there abouts. Im currently with State for everything else, so Ill prob go with them, unless there is an independant anyone knows of that is cheaper.

    Off to work now.

    Cheers

    I'm with State.

I think from memory it's about $450ish per annum.

Have a look at this link: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...ht=underwriter

    Should have some useful info.

Anyway...I'd better go and do some work.

jeepers, offered a ride thanks but I cant - mainly for your safety big bikes make me do dumb things, is it just me or are power wheelies just so much better???.. lol

I'm with state, they are bastards I hate them - 1000$ premium 300$ a year, last time I crashed I couldnt afford to repair it properly.. go figure..

Anyway enjoy that bike, and take care!! and hope to see you on a KB ride some time :P

That is a very nice looking bike

I went from my FXR to the 600, as long as you are careful you will be fine. Respect the bike and the road and they will respect you

Thats the one $7K, probably all he'd get as a trade in. Not bad for a $1 reserve auction.
    ZX9 race bike $4995!

    Nice one...

Yeah, I saw that on Trade-Me, and thought it looked really good (if I were in the market for a bike).

Congrats on winning the auction I have a feeling you picked up a good'un there

Post some pics after you've stuck the decals on.

    Hey,

    Thanks for the comments

John - not Slingshot - sorry, I think I confused you. When I said John, I was meaning my brother in law (Slingshot).

He had a quote from a bike shop up north, wanting to list it in the shop for 9995. The bike is mint, with lots of extras on it.

Alarm with Immobiliser, new tires, new break pads, polished mags, new windscreen, $670 service on the 24th of Dec including carbs balanced, shims done, oil flushed etc, plus lots more. New warrant and Rego, new paint job, he imported it so got it Vinned and they had to take it totally apart cos it wasnt regisitered when it came in or something, so that was a mojor check, and it passed with flying colours. Floats also done in service, new sparkies. Ventura carrier, Hard out service manual, and has all receipts. Only 34,700Km.

and it should be here on the truck TOMORROW

Oh, and more good news for me, I got accepted my the LTSA to sit my Full CBTA course on the 2nd That made my day.

Thanks everyone for the comments - I will be safe, I promise!
