    Define fun?

Did a track day there a couple of years ago and scared myself stupid - and I was in the slow group!!!

A proper old fashioned racing track, although how much longer it will be allowed to operate god only knows. A racer was killed there this year and the Health and Safety Nazis are up in arms at 'how dangerous it is'....... It's RACING you simpering idiots FFS

You can't see a lot from track side - a mate takes a portable TV if it's on the box - but what you can is unbelievable, those guys are riding Gods.

I've done a stack of track days there - it really is fantastic. Its got everything that track - The mountain starts with the jump and is tight and twisty and enclosed by trees - the rest is hilly with fast open left and right handers and a dipping kinked straight. It really is exciting to ride...

    Check it out

makes me wonder WTF I am doing here

Will be there for BSB next weekend so will try and get some good vids to put up. It is my home track and it rocks. I don't care what anyone says it is the best track in the UK and hopefully will remain for many years to come. Everyone I know who has done a track day or raced there loves it.

It is funny tho seeing people forget to turn for copice and end up going over the grass to the top!!

Awesome to see Cadwell on a Kiwi forum, my favourite short circuit in Europe without a doubt. Have done many trackdays there even though it was a 4 hour hike across England to get there from the west country but always worth it.

The downhill selection into Mansfield is WAY steeper than it looks on film, braking down into there was always a laugh! Show boating past the cafe with wheelies/jumps off the mountain is also such a laugh.....although my friend on his SP1 managed to bail and crash infront of a crowd...

Will see if I can dig up some pics at the weekend...

It's a bloody awsome circuit. It has it all from flat out straights to down hill of camber and up hill ground clearance sapping corners, blind turn in's etc, stays damp under the trees just to test your balls, narrow and technical, oh and the mountain of course. Its all about rider ability there and not the size of your check book (read horsepower), foookin loved the place.
