    Yesh, Bludger alright.

Hit by a van that turned across too soon and clipped him sending him into Armco. Armco's no problem though because it works for cars, eh?

Further south a dude on a Kawasaki VN was killed by two idiots heading north (he was heading south) enagaed in a do or die road rage battle because one of them cut the other off, so the cutee forced the cutter into oncoming traffic, hitting the VN rider hard enough to kill him instantly and fling his bike and body down the river bank.

I've been forced onto the shoulder along there by traffic pulling out from Whakataki road into oncoming traffic on the other side of the road.
Yep. I know that. And I too miss Stonechucker.
No, I meant has there been any 'accidents' north of the cheesecutter that was installed on Stoney's corner? If not, why extend it?
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

I've had enough near misses along there to welcome it. Shame it's WRB. On another note, they're putting in single row Armco just north of the Petone flyover. That's just as bad as WRB.

Agreed. Neither are 'body-friendly'. But there's just something extra nasty about WRBs.

The Bastards(TM) are clearly planning to put cheesecutter to fill the gap between the new and old concrete median barriers at the Cornish Street end of the P2D works. Odd, considering Cornish Street is soon to be closed off at the SH2 end.

Mention of Stonechucker takes me back to when he took that name on this ride http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/sh...chucker&page=2 when he was in front of UncleB, known as VTwin in those days (RIP), and the back wheel of Stoney's R1 showered Bruce's SV1000 with stones breaking the headlight guard (see the photos on that thread). Now that was over 5 years ago. We had a couple of great Welly rides that year (2004) and for some reason we don't seem to do that any more .
    Cheers

Not sure what the above post is about...but anyways. I see they are now extending the WRB further north to stop people doing u-turns (I presume thats why its being extended). And they still havent fixed that overlapping bit right on the corner.
FINE. This is the word women use to end an argument when they are right and you need to shut up.

Check the date, that post was nearly and year and a half ago when I had no clue who Stonechucker was or what had happened. Read the thread, you'll understand the context!!!

Anyway - As far as I know I have not herd of any accidents caused by U turns here but obviousely I'm not the authority on such knowledge. I have noticed that since this cutter went in it has been damged 2 or three times catching cars??
