Great vid. I'd like to ride one but maybe with tyres that had some knobs on in the sand.
Any bike would have looked good there in the desert tho. Thanks Aslan - can you get one so I can give it a ride?

Hi Padmei - in fact I rode one a 100km of gravel and seal courtesy of Henry of Experience BMW - I was impressed - the acid test though was he was still quicker than me across the gravel on my 1150 so it all goes to show its about the rider - cheers S

It sounds like they have caught someone else's interest also.

I'd certainly be tempted Mark for the confidence it inspired in me - less mass when things turn to custard

In a lot of conditions knobs just dig holes, not always the best tyre.

No wonder BMW's are so expensive, who paid for all that lot? Consumers of course!

Gotta hand it to BMW though, they have really embraced the off road/venture sector, good on them for that!

    no, not really

the klr is a good match for my skills
more power would equal more arse offs
and they would be more expensive arse offs

plus there is something endearing about the klr's down market image - the mongrel that became your favorite pet despite its inclination to fart under the dinner table whenever you had guests

If yours is downmarket with all the blingons what's mine? Navel lint? Gotta say It is good not having to worry too much about resale value

Agree about not needing any more power -My buttocks are quite taut with 30 odd HP anymore & I'd be sucking air in

Nice vids, thanks for posting it!

I like the looks of the bike however the suspension seems crap as is not adjustable (likely to be worse than my G650X), not that it really makes a difference to me as a rider, but for a bike that it's not particularly cheap
I'd like to get quality stuff

    Cheers,
    Pampa

I don't know they're certainly selling them cheap. On the adv site saw veried comments but didn't actually bother chekcing on BM if they actually have an official position about it.

At the current $ its worth it (not at the original $$), with some extra money can get a very good bike with reliable engine, very good fuel range, reasonable powerfull
