Bike magazines - value for money?

I enjoy BIKE ,a UK magazine but its pricey at $14.50.

Me too on both counts.

I have often thought that if I didn't spend about $30 every two months I could invest that money in real books. Oh, hang on, I buy those too...

If I didn't spend the $30 on magazines I'd probably end up drinking it.

There is an article rating sprot bike tyres in the latest issue of BIKE. Similar to the Sport Touring tyre test I mentioned in the Tyre Test thread. If I keep telling y'all what's in the mag though they might sue me so best you buy it.

So basically anyone can be in the bike mag (kiwiRider) if they have a good story, 3 good photos, good grammar, humor and a bike?

There are standards - but The Ed's attitude is that it is 'our' magazine.

It's nearly 200 pages every month.

There are several KB'ers in this edition.

Including A near full page on Surfchick - and Randoms effort's at her show.

Well, I also like to read a number of bike mags, but can't afford to buy them all, so I head down to the library where I can read the latest ones, and can also take out the ones older than 1 month. If they don't have the one you want, ask them to subscribe to it.

Sometimes I buy one of the local bike mags though.

SuperBike mag is cool...I get each issue at the local Shell...although some of the UK stuff is kinda irrelevant here in NZ.
