Need to hire / borrow a 250

Trying to book in my license ... can someone advise where I can hire/burrow a 250cc?

I find it really hard to rider cruisers as I've really only ridden sportier bikes.
the bike is only required for a few hours.

I maybe able to lend someone my 900 whilst I'm doing the test, if that's any incentive.

try your local bike shop,our local lent my son a bike for a box of beers(he's since bought a larger bike from them)

Box of beer seems to be a common charge , that or it's the same bike shops.

Most bike shops will loan, riding school & some car hire places have them as well just for this very reason
