    Saddlebags for the Vmax

    I am after some saddlebags for my Vmax , just wanting to know if anyone has some on theirs and are they all universal size or all different
    Just going my own way

    measure your clearance from top of rear seat to the pipes and take a little off for swing arm movement.

    Buy bags that are no deeper than that.


    Or, go to a shop and chuck several types on until you get what you want.


    Personally I've found the most important thing is clearance from pipes! I did a ripper from Parklands to Ashburton in about 40minutes and found I burnt through my bags and they only had about a half cm clearance from the pipes (weren't touching).

    I have bags for sale if you are interested. Just need to patch over the hole in the bottom which should be no issue at all! They are no good to me as I don't want to keep adding patches.

    i have some real leather ones... 5+mm thick!

    they are on adjustable straps (leather)

    so will fit any bike..


    what a ride so far!!!!
