    Motorbike alarms info

    Hi there guys

    Picking my new F650 up on monday and I was wondering what alarms people recomend to go for or stay away from?

    Also any other type of additions like GPS, datadots. etc

    There are so many to choose from these days however if you have one of those ECU Alarm connectors (fairly sure BMWs do), all the OEM stuff that happens with those plugs are a 'must have'. I would suggest that you talk to the dealer about their recommendations however if they suggest they fit and overcharge you with 'any old alarm' and not one that marries up with the bike - have a go at doing your own research. Of the cheaper brands I have found 'Talon' (with ECU connector) to be very good. http://www.talonalarms.com/ and if you have a bit more cash go for one of those 2 way alarms which Page you when the alarm goes off.

    Try this guy http://www.calvotech.co.nz/index.php his is a motorcyclist and sell and installs alarms into cars and bikes.
