    Motorbikes an Olympic sport?

It seems that ever other obsure sport is represented in the Olympics, so why not motorbike racing?

I say they provide standard bikes for all riders, and they all race off, R1s or Hondas or nifth fifties etc.......What you reckon?

i mean if they can have BMX, Hand ball, Ping Pong, Syncronised swimming.....why the hell not Motorbikes!!!!

Seems like a good idea to me. Maybe when we win the hosting rights we could all suggest it!

I mean come on...hand ball, you carn't be serious!

Not bloody likely. Although things like equestrian events, cycling, rowing, sailing, rowing etc. do show a reliance on a machine over just the human body.

I'd expect to see something like karting there first.

Wht y do you want to see anything more in the Olympics? I reckon they should be culling all team sports, and anything that requires scoring by judges.

Damn right... Equestrian. Bullshit. Gymnastics. Bullshit. Diving. Bullshit. If it can't be done impartially, it can fuck right off.

Equestrian events like the show jumping, which is measured by time, is OK. But the complete poncing about which is dressage is just a f'ing joke. Artistic gymnastics (vault, rings, bar, floor, etc.) is fine even if it is decided by judges. But rhythmic gymnastics (poncing about with a ball or ribbon) is simply dancing with equipment. And the less said about synchronised swimming the better.

Absolutely zero chance of a motorsport event happening.

The last "petrol powered" event was back in 1908 when there was Motorboat racing. This happened in one year only and was discontinued.

Motorcycle Sport is a recognised Olympic sport, it's just not contested at the Olympic games.

    Has been discussed here.

Maybe the Olympic should go back to the original way it was first done and not worry about the other new sports they have now included? Do you really think the ancient Greeks knew what hand ball, sync swimming, rhythm gymnastics etc was? I don't think so. It thats was the case, why not and event for play station gamers?

Maybe because motorcycling is a sport, and not just a game, is the reason it wont be included.

Remember.. if a dog can do it, it's not sport.
