Roads are looking a bit rough!!

Well Ive been out for a couple of rides in the dry now and its quite obviouse the roads have taken a bloody pounding this winter. Pot holes, crumbling surface's on top of the green growth. A few favorite roads have changed heaps, I just hope the council do more than stamp a bit of tar seal in the holes.
Is it the road users resposibility to report poor road surfaces or is there a 'man in a van' that drives every kilometer checking on condition and directing the road gangs? my vote would go for the yellow high grip surface on all corners, the sort of stuff you see on some roundabouts and braking areas for some pedestrian crossings.

Even where Hobson St becomes the freeway is a mess.

West Auckland mate!! The pot holes aren't due to the weather its marks from some bro's massive big bore exhaust hanging off a subarew GTX RW Turbo Sport RZX 4WD injection or something,

Must admit tho i do like the lighter colour grippy stuff at roundanouts, crossings etc - wonder why that isn;t used more often, perhaps every long sweeping corner on good biking roads.......................................

I konw in the UK there is big long stretches of M/way they use it, esp in high crash areas, even on normal roads in the countryside on bends, its great stuff
