Well, your tank size would be ~ 12-15 l, I should think, but perhaps you're not filling it. Let's say 20 l for 102.8 km, that would be around 5 km/l. What are you doing to the poor wee thing?

I used to get 18-20 km/l out of my GT250K.

Oh, I'm definitely filling it. It's been ported, needs a rebore and a tune-up, and I thrash the crap out of it.

Screw that, money is for spending, petrol is for buying. Get the dirty evil fuel sucking bikes now whilst petrol is cheap and freely available.

4 stroke 250s are for pussys that want nice little boring commuters.

    Amen

Wonder what the nsr250 will suck up once i've got it up and going. I've all but run outta gas going chch to kaikoura on the RG150 topped to the brim before leaving chch with both oil and gas.

Rolled to a halt not far past parnassus, onto reserve lots of swearing and nannying and it rolled into BP Kaikoura with not a drop to spare, I know - I looked. Fookin oil light came on during the return trip as I was riding home thru bishopdale too, 1L of oil! couldn't believe it. Bloody hills.

Akaroa and back on a tank is out the question too, though it shouldn't be in theory.

    Cool Enviroment?

I recon those bloody big diesel engines that go slow and never see dirt are a far bigger problem compared to a little 2stroke motorbike, but who care's what I think

    Global Warming

The less Winter we have, the more Days we can spend out Riding in the sunshine... Ah ha ha ha ha.

I do sponsor the RainForests of the world at other sites.
so I try to do my part.

But I mean fark. When there's a massive power station just out my window burning coal all day long to give us all power, and we don't see the multimillion dollar Power corporations shutting them down any time soon, I don't think a little 250cc bike is gonna make all the difference. There becoming relics of the past now day's anyhow so it's always bloody great to see one go past once in a blue moon.
    I love the old classics.

Road and Sport Hamilton sold me -Spectro Heavy Duty Platinum Full Synthetic GL-1 SAE 75w140 gear box oil- last week for $47.75. No kidding.
Oh, and I only weigh 60kg's but i've been thrashing 2strokes for year's and none of my bike's have ever missed a beat, except for a fould plug or exghust leek once in a blue moon. Just run'em rich and hold'em open.
15ks a ltr sounds good, my GSXR250 was the same. My CBR250 was better thou'
    Thanks bud.

When I go to the track I usually take 20 litres of avgas, 3 L in my FXR150 and 17 L in my RD350. so Id say they were about equal

Have a 2 stroke and a 4 stroke off-roaders, the 2 stroke uses probably 2-3 times the fuel the 4 stroke uses, + you have to put the expensive oil in it.
That said I still love the 2 stroke.
All that power from such a small light motor, addictive aye. BWWWWRARRRRPPP!! RINGGGG DINGGG DINGGGG DINGGGG DINGGGGG DINGGGG DING............ KDX's rule
