Visor fog

I tried an anti fog visor insert last weekend. It worked great and I would highly recommend it to anyone as a cheap safety insurance when racing in damp conditions.

Before I had it, my helmet would fog up during rainy days. It seemed to make it worse if I opened up the helmet's vents, because of more moist air pushed in at high speeds at the end of the straights.

Here's a link and reviews. They get good rating for their anti fog performance, but don't seem to last very long.

I've used FogCity visor inserts for a number of years and NEVER get a fogged visor whatever the weather.....they are superb. You will never need to use the various sprays and things on the market ever again.

The have all sorts of fitment available......I use clear ones in a high vis rain visor and dark smoke race visor. They're available from Whites Powersports.

They are fantastic, one little tip though, be careful what you wipe the insert with to dry it because if it gets scratched it gets very hard to see out of and will reflect every little bit of light when it gets dark. Best to let air dry if you passibly can if you wash it.

I used the same thing this weekend. Didn't work that well for me to be honest, still got heaps of fogging. Maybe I didn't put it in right, although it seemed to seal. The Oxford one I had before worked mint.

For a temporary fix I found Armourall Glass Wipes awesome! Removed almost all fogging in my visor.

Most good brand of helmets come with either anti fog visors or inserts to fit onto the visor.
Best extra you could possibly buy for your helmet!
Cant say enough about them.

Ive got them on every visor I have. (which is a huge amount)

I have heard of rubbing a wee bit of dish wash liquid on the inside of visor.

What about rain x or something???

Pretty much. Kept thinking...fark..could have braked a LOT later. Oh well.... Hopefully there'll be some wet track days so I can learn how to ride hard in the wet.
