I agree, i have used the shoulder in peak time, but passing at 100 or so is dumb.

Ha, that statement certainly lives up to your handle DB. Brilliant!

But isn't it that sort of attitude that gives us all a bad name amongst road users?

Some nutters on the coroloop today, who ever was on the Black ZX10, following the 1098, you're lucky to be alive pal. Overtaking me midcorner >_< sitting right next to my front wheel... Then I watched ya nearly clip the wing mirror of an oncoming car...

    Then details you shall have.

I was cruising in a stream of traffic in the outside lane, a couple of k's south of Haywards. Doing about 110-120.

I glanced in my mirrors and saw these two bike coming up, lane splitting. I check my mirrors pretty often so I was a bit surprised to see them there.

The gixxer came past and slotted in front of me. The other bike stayed back. There were two lanes of cars travelling at about the same speed so there wasn't really any where to go but we were doing a reasonable speed so I wasn't bothered.

The gixxer then pulled across in front of me, nothing dodgy in that, but continued over onto the shoulder and then gunned it to get past a couple of cars in the inside lane. His mate followed though he seemed a bit hesitant. He then pulled back into the outside lane to pass a couple more cars. Don't know why, he was on the shoulder so he might as well have carried on.

Then he shot back across the lanes again to get into the left turn lane to go up Haywards.

They continued dodgy passing manoeuvres all the way until the inlet when I turned off. All the time he seemed to be egging his mate on to follow him.

It's not like the traffic was heavy, though the sun strike was pretty bad. I was able to keep up with them without any dumb shit.

Anything else you'd like to know?

No doubt there are some dumb riders about but the sentiment you have expressed is nothing short of callus. No biker should wish any biker taken out............... for any reason.

Sounds a bit like a couple of bikes I saw while going down SH1 tween Paekak and Pukerua Bay yesterday.(aka the road of death) they were squeezing past cars in the single lane stretch by riding right up against the cheesecutters....

Can't say I've noticed. Just don't seem to post in your circles. Good to see you are still alive. Nothing pisses people off when you can prove them wrong. Keep up the good work and ride like the Grim Reaper's up your arse, but only on the track becasue the day will come when he will overtake you on the road.

Can't be me. I do worse shit than that. Plus the bikes broken, funnily enough.
