Its still a great range really, and compared to my previous bike (xl600 at 180 kms per tank) it is heaven. I wouldn't mind havin a go at the db1k and it would be a good chance to do the rainbow as I haven't done it yet.

Just been for a bit of a 3 day 2up jaunt around the district, Rainbow is sweet , the potholes are awesome but theres some machinery up there so I guess thats the end of them for now, still costs $25 per vehicle for a key till its opened (worth it tho). Palmers road is smooth enough to skateboard on ,and some bugger was grading the braeburn today.
And by the way Big river is real interesting two up ,needed a beer after that one

Your right, life is for living. Im sure TA and I can come up with a bit of a plan for some training but I recon you will be able to do the Manga and Porika. The rest of it is similar to the Rainbow or better.

Thanks for the info. One point though, from talking to the Rainbow managers I understood that the key cost $15 for bikes?

    Cheers R

How are you making your ralye style fairing? I'm about to attempt a larger screen on Gonzo!

About how many hours would it be for the first day riding? - not racing or nanaing it but riding without any holdups - just so I get an idea. Also is a route map roller thing essential?

Just finished the prototype, will test it tomorrow to make sure it works

The final setup will be mounted just infront of the light mounts which will leave enough room for either a route sheet holder or GPS.
