All - There was an error with the gps files on the web page re uploading to a GPSr but I have sorted that now. Hopefully all it working but let me know if there are any more issues. I'm especially keen for somebody with a in car type GPSr (peach you zumo would be a good test) to have ago at uploading the routes.

    Cheers

No problem going straight to GPS today thanks cooney. I was a bit worried yesterday when it wouldn't work, after the last episode

There are a few threads about them about that you should have a look at. I'd recommend a Etrex Legend HCx or GPSMap60 Cx (if you have a couple of extra dollars) meself.

You'll be pushing it to get a good one and find a way to mount it for $400.
To me a good one has high sensitivity chip (H), colour screen (C) and expansion slot (X) for loading a memory card in it.
I do like my Legend HXC but with out some kind of vibration damping mount it did suffer vib induced shutdowns.

I am booked on a ferry departing Wellington at 8:00am Friday 2nd Jan.
Guess I will meet you all at WereWolfs.

In the last 2 weeks I have travelled about 6-700 kms of gravel roads on the XT400:
Lake Waikaremoana and inner Gisborne. Kind of a loop around Te Urewera National Park. Also went to Cape Rienga via as many gravel/sand roads as I could fit in. Bike seems pretty reliable.

TA noticed a slightly misleading point in the DB1k route files. I've just corrected the files and uploaded them again as of about 2 mins ago. If you have downloaded a file/uploaded to a GPS already I'd suggest that you download/upload them again.

Yas need one of the high tech home made super damping gps mounts Not had a single shut down though it did fall off on one rather interesting crash as you know.

Had some questions asked about the roll chart and after some checking I found there was a distance reset at cell no. 137 that should not have been there. So for those that have already downloaded and printed out the roll chart I would suggest you reprint the last page or you get a marker pen and redo the total distances for cells 137 to 139 (three cells only). The new version of the pdf is on my web site now.

Can you tell me how you made this please, where you sourced those rollers etc.
I made one for the CCA last year and this one looks way way better. You must have some engineering skills there....lol
How and where does it mount on your bike?
Some more detail would help and then I can copy it or if you left a bit of detail for me please?
    Many thanks....
It is such a great little size!

No worries. There is not a number restriction (yet).

Tis a good point. I'm guessing close to 35 riders in total (I think there is about 4 non kbers joining us plus motorad-ical to come) at this stage. We need to be finding a second BBQ at a minimum for the pre event at WW's anybody local have one they can bring along?

Good thing I went and ordered 40 stickers last Friday.

PM him, he's central, near Nelson Hospital. I think the Nelson crew can all assist him with arrangements in some way if he's providing the location
