I did it myself on the 15th november, got through fine then.
There was signage up but the area they were working was away from the bit we ride.
Had to be aware of trucks going in or out of course.

Here it is in motard trim

With its motard wheels on~, just got new mt21's on the dirt set and put em on last night, have to unbolt the disc to get front wheel off so caliper clears rim,

    BIG DISC O_O

Big safari tank got held up in customs, those jerks

with its dirt tyres on, she's a lot taller height wise, EEK o_O

I think ill get a proper ram mount for gps, hopefully in time for dusty

and definately need to do something with seat if i am going to do 1000kms O_O

and i need to sell my xr , anyone ;D?

i should get you some profile shots of the klx in motard trim, sexual~

    - bought it a few weeks ago now, 1800kms on its clocks, 1000 on factory speedo, 800 on trailtech vapour unit.
    dirt set of rims
excel 17" super motard set with big freakin disc and caliper locator
    renthal bars
pro circuit t4 can with a couple different tips
chain for each set and 15-38 on motard set, 15-47 on dirt set
    all dummy switches removed,

and all original bits and pieces that arent on the bike like exhaust, cables, in a box

guy i bought it off even has a small fire extinguisher with its on special stainless sleeve made for it, bolts up on left hand side of tail, very nice, but i dont think its going to burst into flames any time soon, and just have to twist throttle to get away from any fire one may have started! ( joking, but i wont want the extra weight :P )

    devol skidplate on its way
28L safari tank on its way

not much else i can say, it bloody rocks

Looks awesome Z. Having two sets of rims/gearing would be very cool. So we wont have any 250's doing the DB this year?

    Cheers R

so i found out that the safari tank arrived today,
with dirt tyres fitted bike is mighty high, so i lost some preload and put on the bar risers that came with bike, raised forks a bit
stuck the magnet in little rotor bolt

    and mounted the beast

here it is, now i need a rack !

oh, and i discovered i paid 17litre tank price too, i think ! happy chappy

He may be able to scab another wagon...

Jenni will be coming through from Tapawera to the overnight and can buy/bring any food needed through from the Tapawera supermarket.
Just need to work out beforehand what you want and hand over some dosh at Warewolfs on Fri.
    Thinking salads/meats/breads/etc's...

Saves carrying it through from Hamner like last time
