Like Nordie said 5.30 am. We finished at around 1.30am. We got to the end of the St Arnaud end of the Howard Valley on the way north when it went dark at about 10 from memory . As I mentioned above riding in the dark with dust from the guys in front is hard work. It is like riding in very thick fog!

    Good on ya dude!!
You're most welcome come come and join in. Whether you are riding or not there will likely be a couple vehicles going up to St Arnaud with gear for the two day riders that you could catch a ride in.

I'm not making commitments that far ahead yet; will know more in 6-8 weeks.

If it is the same route as last year, I will probably do the 2-day option, maybe as sweep.
    Cheers,
    Colin

Yep same route as last year. I'm doing the two day ride as well.

There may be a couple of last minute changes for the two day riders - short legs of the side of the main route. I'll have to check them out just before the ride as they are near some active logging sites. The one day riders wont appreciate them at 11pm in the dark and they will make the route longer.

    Cheers R

I was thinking of doing a little exploring down side-tracks, too

Cheers for your info cooney (& everyone else)

I have emailed my lot up here to find out their preferences and will post when I know - or get them to join KB and post themselves!. There could be up to six of them, and so far they seem to be opting for the 2-day ride.
