I could be up for the two day as well but can commit yet... early Jan sounds good to me
I apologise but I'll be bringing a white bike to the party
Cheers
Early Jan's prolly better for us.
Rode through Molesworth 2 times and Rainbow 3 times last summer and traffic was never an issue, most people pulled over fairly quickly to let us through.
I'm with TA on this one. I'm probably heading north with D for the new year holiday, so either late Jan or Waitangi would work better for me. As of last night I don't have a Blackbird anymore, so I also have to find a new bike at some point, although the Tranny is still probably the weapon of choice for the DB......

so why then do I know, I will see you in far off places?

I've got one more so that makes five guys from up here for the 2-dayer.
We've got our club events kicking in then so from our point of view, preferred weekends would be:
10/11 Jan
17/18 Jan
31 Jan/1 Feb
7/8 Feb (Waitangi w/e)
21/22 Feb or after
At a push we may be able to juggle our club events but the calendar is getting tight!
At least three of the "better halves" will also come along, and do our own road trip, and meet up with the lads at the overnight stop, if that's ok.

Seems there is few who are keen on doing the ride on Waitangi weekend and a few more who are keen for later in January. I'm not that interested in organising a second 2 day run but given the availability of the maps, GPS route data and roll chart there is no reason why you guys couldn't do it yourselves. If the accommodation used for the 3/4th Jan is available for Waitangi weekend I'll look into arrangements.
What say you Waitangi Wranglers???
There is more than enough interest and commitment to have the 1 day on the 3rd (and they need the light), and the "main" 2 day ride on the same weekend - this is not changing now.
Cheers R

I'd be up for both 2-dayers
Be able to do little "excursions" like the pylon track up the Porika etc![]()

I'd be keen to do some research rides, now my knee has healed and work is quietening down a bit - keep me in the loop.
P.
Waitangi weekend sounds like the go.
To you other Waitangi wrangers - what would be the preference for days?
Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun?
Doesn't make much difference either way for us since coming from the north isl anyway.
But would like to get on to ferry & accommodation bookings soonish.
