DB1k 2009

I went for a quick 150km ride this morn, from Nelson , Wakefield, Pigeon Valley, Dovedale Rd then up Mt Arthur and back. The gravel on Dovedale Rd is quite dry and dusty, but Mt Arthur (Flora Saddle) is sweet, hard packed, with just some minor sections of corrugations.
I'm just amping for the 3rd!

WW has put up an event on the Calendar here for the BBQ on the eve of the DB1k (2nd feb) at his place.

WW and family are providing salads (BYO meat and drinks) and he needs an indication of numbers so please put your name on the BBQ event (in addition to the appropriate DB1k Calendar event). Remember there is a gold coin koha for the salads.

Would an ex adv rider be welcome at this shin dig, or would he get stoned and ridiculed I'm heading up to NN on the Duc on the 1st to watch the street racing on the 2nd and then heading home on the 3rd and it would be great to catch with you all while I'm there.

I'm looking forward to it too, just did half of Lee's Valley with the full DB set up inc luggage etc, should have put the new rear Mitas on as KTM's steer from the rear I'm told ... gonna fit the new rear and give a little re-run tonight

just put my bike back together will go to Jacksons test for a & pie tomorrow

as it's my 20th anniversary on the 1st will be taking Mrs Shrek sth, so have a great trip on the 1 & 2 day's guys

I'm riding up on the 2nd. Probably setting off around 9 ish and more than likely going up the rainbow. If anyones keen to go up on that day i'm in.There was some talk of a 4x4 taking gear to st Arnaud for the 2 day dudes is this still happening?

There's a wagon available (The Jatz'zzzz Safari) but my brother is out of cell range at the moment so I'm trying to see if he's going to be back in time.
