OMGWTFBBQ, the whole north south thing has grown far beyond just the cival war and slavery. And if you study right, you'll see that slavery was not even a big factor in the cause of the war.

What it is now is showing pride in your heritage and your home. The only state that still takes any of that slavery/war stuff serious is Alabama.

i never did take too much to the whole "yank v. Confederate " thing.. i have kin on both sides of the line..i'm an American.. i consider myself a "buckeye" (Ohio) since i lived there for the majority of my life ( although like i said, i have lived in quite a few states.. nature of the biz i was in at the time..)

Yank / Reb thing just divides an already divided nation even further.. kinda like the Kiwi / Maori thing..just sad at this period in history that we have to sub-divide ourselves even further

Never said that and you should know e better than that. I never hold someones history against them. I'll like/dislike someone for who they are as a person and by thier personality, not by their race, creed, gender or whatever.

I'm just proad of where I come from, what's so wrong with that?

nothing wrong at all with being proud of your past.. but i think right now at this point, its better not to class ourselves as reb's or Yanks and just be proud to be American

united we stand and all that..

too many people in this world against us already.. dont need to be against each other little bro..

I'm a Kiwi born in Skolstad (just out of Copenhagen), Denmark.
I suppose that makes me a Viking, I've gone to another country to 'make friends' with the women, and 'aquire' the goods I need.

Nice rhyming (sp). Very difficult to read your blue words though (intention?) maybe cause I am colour blind.
