    Reinforcing stereotypes - Harley riders

To the retard on the Harley that gave me the finger as he rode into Whatawhata, I was trying to warn you there was a cop around the corner, you twat!

As I rode into town yesterday about Noon (I live just off SH23 on the way to Raglan), I saw several cops, eager for WRC custom. I also saw lots of bikes and tried to warn them (by holding out my throttle hand, palm down). I won't fucking bother next time...

That outcome is more about you than the Harley rider.

"read what Steve says. He's right."
"What Steve said pretty much summed it up."
"I did axactly as you said and it worked...!!"
    "Wow, Great advise there DB."

Don't be too grumpy about it, apparently it is "Random Acts Of Kindness Day".

I'm sorry, that's far too deep for me.
    Perhaps you could explain, Obiwan...

You have a lot to learn about biker etiquette.
Most of us will gesture a warning to a fellow rider. Most fellow riders will gesture appreciation of that warning. This is recognised and practised internationally.
Ignore a warning at your peril. Diss it and others will suffer.
Oscar did the right thing and is pissy that he was dissed for it and now may not give the same courtesy to other (Harley) riders.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Actually it's not Harley riders per se.

It was a particular type, shorty helmet, wrap around shades and an attitude.

Probably an Accountant or Dentist with stick on tats...

I hope you will take personal responsibility for taking this thread off into outer space
